The SMART is a portable hand-held device which utilizes a cutting edge, non-invasive, drug-free approach to mental alertness. This breakthrough technology is called Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE).
The SMART integrates the principles of audio/visual brainwave stimulation to help students achieve peak mental performance, improve memory, reduce stress, get a better sleep, increase energy levels, and even combat the blues.
When the brain perceives stress, it shunts cerebral blood flow away from the cortex into the body core to prepare for fight or flight. This was an advantageous evolutionary adaptation for our ancestors, but unfortunately this is the opposite of what the present day student needs. Brain wave activity is slowed down into greater alpha and theta brain wave frequencies, similar to what is seen in those with ADD and ADHD, leaving a student more distractible, impulsive and hyperactive. This behavior, in turn, impairs the student’s ability to study and write exams, thus increasing stress. AVE has been shown to produce dramatic increases in cerebral blood flow, efficient brain activity and sound mental health.

The SMART sessions also include our proprietary randomization process, which helps encourage dissociation and enhance the entrainment process.
The SMART features larger easy-to-read, easy-to-operate buttons which allow users to select a session very easily. The SMART session category buttons are lit to allow the user to see them in the dark.
